Dwight Rowe Gosser, 68, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022, at his home after an extended illness.
Dwight was born on September 2, 1953, in Russell Springs, Kentucky to the late Huston D. Gosser and the late MaryBelle (McQueary) Flanagan.
He married Marlene Ann Majewski in 1972, who passed away on August 25, 2020, in South Bend. Survivors include two daughters Shirley Reed (Florence, CO) and Amy Jo Gosser (Muncie, IN); eight grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers Roger (Connie) Gosser, David M. Gosser and sister Phyllis (Steve) Corrone. In addition to his parents and wife, brothers Larry D, Gary W. and Don N. Gosser and sister Dianna Popplewell preceded him in death.
Dwight served as a pastor and caregiver to two local churches in the Michiana area for 35 years and did missionary work overseas. Dwight drove a school bus for a period of time and loved interacting with the children. He also loved horses and traveling. He and Marlene both enjoyed dining out at the local restaurants.
Funeral services for Dwight will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Wilson Funeral Home, Russell Springs, Kentucky. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. on Saturday at Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lucinda Cemetery.
