The City of Russell Springs is planning to recognize a local pastor by naming a road in his honor.
If the city council approves the second reading next month, there will be a new road in Russell Springs named Rick Neff Road.
The Russell Springs City Council approved the first reading of the naming of the road at Thursday’s meeting.
The road is a short cut-through road that connects Lakeway Drive and Jamestown Street. It currently doesn’t have an official name so the idea was brought to Mayor Eddie Thomas who presented it before the council, which approved the first reading unanimously.
A second reading to approve the road name will take place next month.
