IDA announces sale of manufacturing building to local company

Von Gruenigen Furniture Makers, LLC will be locating in Jamestown, according to the Russell County Industrial Development Authority.

The IDA announced Thursday the sale of its 9,400 square foot manufacturing building on Ferco Way in Jamestown to the cabinet and furniture company with plans to begin operation in the spring of this year.

The company has 8 full-time employees as of now with plans to add 5-10 more jobs in two years.

The company is headed by father and son Ed and Casey Von Gruenigen, and began operation in 2009 designing and building custom furniture. The company has since expanded into the cabinet-making business, added commercial clients, and invested in state-of-the-art equipment.

The Von Gruenigen’s closed on the property Thursday at the headquarters of South Kentucky Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation. SKRECC facilitated their loan through a USDA program.
