Loretta Roy Thomas, of Dunnville, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Fair Oaks Health and Rehab. She was 77.
Born on May 22, 1944, in Russell County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Robert and Margie Withers Roy. Loretta worked at Liberty Sewing Factory for eighteen years. She was a member of Dunnville Church of God. She was also a seamstress.
She is survived by a son, Matthew David (Aimee) Thomas of Russell Springs;
a daughter, Loretta Charlene (Doug) Lawhorn of Liberty;
five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Other survivors include two brothers, Eldon Roy of Bronston and Cecil Roy of Dunnville; and two sisters, Mary Rose Roy and Roxanne Roy-Holt Read, both of Russell Springs.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, David L. Thomas, who passed away on May 24, 2014; and a brother, Jimmy Roy.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 18, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Ted Stidham officiating. Burial will follow in Thomas Ridge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
