Light Snow for Some this Weekend

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Our weather has been calm the last few days with sunshine and temperatures in the mid 50’s. Some folks may get to 60 for the high today as our sunny weather continues. A weak system will move through tonight, bringing with it a slight chance of a few showers for some.

Our attention turns to the end of this week and into the weekend for some possible snow chances. Let’s check out the latest information we have this morning…

GFS
Canadian

The GFS model is trending for some accumulating snow for parts of the Lake Cumberland Area, while the Canadian has a better show of accumulating snow across Southeastern Kentucky.

There’s my current thinking as of now on the who has the best opportunity on getting some accumulating snow. Still too early to get into specifics on how much snow a particular area could see. I will keep a close watch on this and post updates as more information comes in.
