The Russell County Fiscal Court approved three items Monday night that will utilize funds the county received from the American Rescue Plan Act.
The court gave unanimous approval to the Premium Pay Plan, which provides a one-time bonus of $5,000 to full-time county employees and $2,500 to part-time county employees.
In order to be eligible to receive the bonus, the employee must have been employed between July 1 and Dec. 31, 2021 and still be employed by the county.
The court also approved the use of about $15,000 in ARPA funds for a water project on C. Wooldridge Road with the City of Jamestown that would provide water service to households in the area that currently do not have it.
Finally, the court approved the use of ARPA funds to build a new 911 dispatch center on Brian Walters Drive near the detention center. The City of Russell Springs wrote a letter to the court stating that they would donate an acre of land and do water and sewer hookups for the building.
The court voted unanimously to approve all of the above projects.
Judge Executive Gary Robertson said Ross, Sinclair, and Associates will be letting bids for construction managers for the project.
