38 new COVID cases were reported in Russell County on the state dashboard Tuesday.
Russell County’s COVID incidence rate, or number of cases per 10,000 population, remains the second highest in the Lake Cumberland District behind Cumberland County and ranks 21st highest in the state.
Across the Lake Cumberland District, 54 people are listed as COVID-19 inpatient, 18 in ICU, and 3 on ventilators.
The local positivity rate remains high, at around 34.6 percent.
