State Senator Max Wise filed the necessary paperwork with the Secretary of State’s Office on Tuesday to seek re-election to the 16th Senate District, which includes Russell County.
Wise, a Republican from Campbellsville, is seeking his third term.
His lone challenger is Dr. Justy Engle, an associate professor of English at Campbellsville University, who filed earlier this week. Engle is a Democrat.
