The Russell County Middle School Lakers won 2 of 3 games over Casey County on 8th grade night at the middle school.
The 8th graders won in convincing fashion by holding Casey County to just 3 points in the second half, finishing with a 61-25 win.
Noah McMillin led the scoring with 10 points, followed by Dylan Stanelle and Walker Stephens with 9 each, Noah Bennett with 8 points, Bryson Irvin with 7, Kinnett Wills with 6, Max Davis with 5, Webber Wilson with 4, Adrian Eads with 2, and Carter Stapp with 1 point.
The 6th graders were also victorious, with Myles Davis scoring 17 points, Gunner Godbey adding 5, Keenan Stille scoring 4, and Eyan Propes and Christian Williams scoring 2 points each.
The 7th graders lost in overtime by a score of 52-47. Mannix Bell led the scoring with 14, followed by Tanner Stringer with 9, Tyson Stille with 8, Gabe Browning and Cameron Bolin with 7 each, and Jace Skaggs with 2 points.
The RCMS Lakers will play their final home game before conference tournament play on Thursday. It will also be homecoming at RCMS.
