Weather has caused some delays in progress, but Russell Springs Mayor Eddie Thomas said he expects the KFC off Highway 127 in the old Long John Silver’s location to open soon.
Thomas said he and the city’s economic development director, Jeramy Coffey, recently spoke with the owner and the plan is to open the last week of January.
Typically, he opens his restaurants on Tuesdays, so the date to keep an eye on is Jan. 25.
