J.C. Bean, age 89, of Russell Springs

J.C. Bean, of Russell Springs, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the Jean Waddle Care Center, in Somerset, Kentucky. He was 89 years of age.

Born on August 8, 1932, in Adair County, he was a son of the late Clarence and Christine Young Bean. J.C. was the owner and operator of Bean’s Truck Bodies,  and later, owned and operated an autobody repair shop. He also loved to raise a vegetable garden. J.C. was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Survivors include one son, John David Bean, of Hendersonville, Tennessee; two daughters, Janet (and Todd) Stearns, of Jamestown, and Donna Bean, of Russell Springs; two grandsons, Jared Stearns and Justin Stearns; one brother, Bradley (and Becky) Bean, of Louisville; and two sisters, Jean McClister, of Florida, and Brenda Nokes, of Columbia. A host of nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna Maxine Smith Bean, whom passed away July 24, 2020; two brothers, Phillip Bean and Ronnie Bean, and one sister, Euline Tabor.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Brother Bill Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until time for the service Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Bernard Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jared Stearns, Justin Stearns, Gary Cain, Jim Cain, Ted Cain, and Ross Morgan.
