Escaped inmate from Adair County caught in Russell County

An inmate that escaped from the Adair County Regional Jail was captured by Russell County Sheriff’s Deputies Sunday night.

The inmate, 33-year-old Brad Callinan, was caught hiding in a furnace area of a residence off Highway 619 in Russell County.

According to Sheriff Derek Polston, Callinan escaped from the Adair County Jail on Jan. 2 when two individuals, Charles Gaskin and Rachel Grimsley, picked up Callinan at a gas station in Columbia and drove him to Lebanon.

Gaskins was located earlier this month and faces criminal charges.

Deputies Nathan Bradshaw, Corey Meyer, and Josh Phipps along with members from KSP Post 15 assisted at the scene.
