LWC Football Coach Chris Oliver resigns, takes job at Georgetown College

LWC promotes DC Kleckler to head coach

Lindsey Wilson College Football Coach Chris Oliver has announced that he has resigned from his position as head coach of the Blue Raiders Football program.

Oliver departs after 12 seasons and a 105-34 record. He helped lead the Blue Raiders to five divisional titles, seven playoff appearances, and the 2020 national championship after becoming Lindsey Wilson’s first head coach in 2010.

Oliver is headed to Georgetown College, a Mid-South Conference rival of Lindsey Wilson.

LWC Athletics Director Willis Pooler announced that the Blue Raider program is promoting Defensive Coordinator Phil Kleckler as its new head coach.

Kleckler becomes just the second head coach since LWC restarted its football program in 2010.
