Two new persons have jumped into the race for Russell County Judge Executive.
Former 2nd District magistrate Patrick Loy filed for office on Tuesday.
Landon C. Helm has also filed to run for County Judge Executive. Helm ran in the Republican Primary for County Judge Executive in 2018, where he lost to Moochie Hart by about 800 votes.
The County Judge Executive’s race is now up to 4 candidates with Helm, Loy, Hart, and Clete McAninch.
