The Russell County Middle School Basketball teams finished 4-0 at the Bowling Green Middle School Showcase over the weekend.
The 7th grade team won a close game over South Warren by a score of 40-39.
Alex Norton led the scoring with 15 points, followed by Tanner Stringer with 10, Mannix Bell with 7, Tyson Stille with 4, and Gabe Browning and Jace Skaggs with 2 points each.
The 7th graders also won a close one over Bowling Green with Tanner Stringer, Tyson Stille and Alex Norton each scoring 10 points, Mannix Bell and Jace Skaggs scoring 4 each, and Gabe Browning scoring 3 points.
The 8th grade team won 61-44 over South Warren with Noah McMillin leading the scoring with 21 points, followed by Max Davis and Maddox Shearer with 10 points each, Dylan Stanelle and Webber Wilson with 6 each, Noah Bennett and Adrian Eads with 3 points each, and Walker Stephens with 2.
The 8th graders also defeated Bowling Green 41-34 with Dylan Stanelle scoring 12 points, Maddox Shearer scoring 9, Noah McMillin and Kinnett Wills scoring 6, Webber Wilson scoring 4, Max Davis with 3, and Noah Bennett with 1 point.
The Middle School Lakers are back at home tonight as they host Campbellsville.
