Nearly 7,600 Russell Countians fully vaccinated against COVID

Nearly 7,600 Russell County residents are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to CDC data.

A little more than 42 percent of Russell County residents are fully vaccinated, including about 50 percent of those 12 years of age and older.

Almost 72 percent of county residents age 65 and older are fully vaccinated.

Almost 8,500 Russell County residents have received one dose of the COVID vaccine. That equates to about 47.3 percent of the county population.

As of now, the positivity rate in Russell County is a little over 4 percent.
