The Russell County Laker Swim Team finished second at the Fall Preview over the weekend with only Scott High School finishing higher.
The Lady Lakers were the top women’s team at the meet, while the Laker boys finished second.

The team was led in scoring by eighth grader Jacob Phillips with 52 points, and the Lady Lakers were led by eighth grader Marlei Devore with 40 points.
The Lakers had swimmers win 4 grade high point awards: Jameson Webb (7th Grade), Marlei DeVore (8th Grade), Jacob Phillips (8th Grade), & Alexa Stephens (9th Grade).
The Lakers are back in action this coming Thursday when Somerset & Glasgow visit. The meet will be at the Russell County ANC.
