Annual Christmas parade is just over a week away

The annual Christmas Parade in Russell Springs is just a little more than a week away.

The parade will take place on Main Street on Saturday, Nov. 27 beginning at around 5 p.m.

The theme is “I’ll be Home for Christmas.”

Russell Springs Mayor Eddie Thomas is encouraging anyone who is interested in being part of the parade to contact City Hall. The deadline to enter to be in the parade, whether as a float or walking in the parade, is Wednesday, Nov. 24.

“We want the whole entire community represented to kick off the holiday season,” Thomas said. “Please come and join us and be part of it.”

This year, all entry fees will be donated to the WJRS Food for the Needy Drive.
