The Russell County Board of Education met for a special-called meeting at noon on Wednesday to approve a couple overnight trips.
The NJROTC program submitted a request for a trip to Miami University in Ohio for a drill competition this weekend. The board also approved a trip for the RCHS Softball team for the Cal Ripken Tournament in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in the spring of 2022.
Superintendent Michael Ford said a memorandum of agreement with Western Kentucky University that was approved at the meeting will provide new teachers with support customized to the school district’s needs.
