Russell County law enforcement investigated 159 assault cases last year, according to new data released by the Kentucky State Police.
That’s down from 2019, when local law enforcement investigated 172 total assault cases.
Of those 159, 43 were investigated by KSP, 76 by Russell Springs Police, 20 by the Russell County Sheriff’s Office, 1 by State Park Rangers, 18 by Jamestown Police, and 1 by the Department of Fish and Wildlife.
