Marvin Helm, age 85, of Jamestown

Marvin Helm, of Jamestown, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Russell County Hospital.  He was 85 years of age.

Born on May 17, 1936, in Jamestown, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Robert Michael and Lizzie Ellen Warriner Helm. Marvin was a retired self-employed carpenter and a member of Fairview Separate Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include two brothers, Roy (and Carol) Helm, of Somerset and Roger (and Sharon) Helm, of Jamestown; one sister, Geneva Walters, of Jamestown; and a special niece, Regina Burton, of Russell Springs.

In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Ruth Garner Helm, who passed away on January 24, 2017; and two brothers, Eugene Helm and Montie Helm.

Funeral services are 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 15, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Brother Roy Helm officiating. Burial will follow in Hadley Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Friday, at Bernard Funeral Home.
