The 2021 season for the Russell County Lady Laker Volleyball team came to an end Tuesday night in the 4th Region tournament with a 3-0 loss against 13th District Champion Logan County.
The Lady Lakers finish their season at 10-17, with an 8-6 mark in region play and runners-up in the 16th District.
Sophomore Briley Murray was named to the 4th Region All-Tournament team.
Over the course of the season, Murray led the team in kills with 131, followed by Kenzie Kelsey with 93, Rachel Webb with 79, and Sophie Shearer with 59.
Shearer, the team’s lone senior, led the team with 52 total blocks on the season, followed by Kelsey with 24 and Murray with 23.
Avery Hart led the Lady Lakers in assists this season with 203, followed by Lauren White with 131.
Jenna White led the team in digs on the season with 124 and Hart had the most service aces with 27.
