More than 7,900 Russell Countians have received COVID vaccine

More than 7,900 Russell County residents have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to data from the CDC.

The most recent data shows that 7,934 Russell County residents have received at least one dose, which is about 52.3 percent of the population 12 years of age or older in the county.

The data shows that 6,807 Russell County residents are fully vaccinated, or about 44.8 percent of the eligible population.

The CDC data shows that the positivity rate in Russell County over the last seven days is 18.25 percent.
