The City of Jamestown is planning to host Trunk or Treat on the Jamestown Square next month as part of Halloween festivities.
Trunk or Treat will be from 5-7 p.m. on Oct. 30 and city-wide trick or treating will be from 5-8.
In other news from the Jamestown City Council meeting
- The city is lowering its property tax rate to 16.8 cents per $100 and keeping tangible property rates the same. Tax bills should go out at the beginning of November.
- Captain Phillip Anderson of the Jamestown Fire Department presented a check for $5,000 to Fire Chief Jeff Landers for the fire department in memory of his son, Phillip Anderson Jr.
- The Family Dollar/Dollar Tree will hold a ribbon cutting on Saturday at 8 a.m.
