After some discussion about the possibility of adjusting the start/end times of school as a means to alleviate traffic congestion along Highway 127, the Russell County Board of Education voted to keep the start/end times the same going into the new school year with the possibility of examining a change later on in the year.
The board voted unanimously to table the measure at Wednesday’s special-called meeting and keep the start/end times the same going into the upcoming school year.
Doors will open at 7 a.m. and school will begin at 7:30 a.m.
