Russell County Hospital is cancelling the upcoming health fair and community lab draws due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in the community.
“We were excited about bringing the health fair back this year,” Health Fair Committee member Mary Lynn Bailey said. “We had great community support, vendors who cleared their calendar to come in, but at this time, we’ve decided it would be best to cancel the health fair this year.
We just want to say a big thank you to all those who anticipated participating with us and thank the community, but we’re just not going to be able to host that this year.”
Bailey said that as they look out for the health and safety of employees, they made the decision to cancel the lab draws as well.
“We just feel it’s best to cancel this year,” Bailey said.
