The Russell County Boys and Girls Soccer teams opened their seasons at Monroe County yesterday.
The girls fell short by a score of 3-1, with Samantha Betts-Jimenez scoring the team’s lone goal.
The boys team picked up a victory over the Falcons by a score of 2-1. Francisco Campos scored both goals, with Carlos Gomez picking up the assist.
The boys team will play at home Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Central. against Whitley County. The girls will play at home next Tuesday against McCreary Central at 6 p.m.
