David Wooldridge, age 60, of Jamestown

David Wooldridge, of Jamestown, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Russell County Hospital.  He was 60 years of age.

Born on February 15, 1961, in Westerville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Eulis Glen and Naomi Shearer Wooldridge.  David enjoyed life and didn’t let his physical restrictions keep him from doing things he loved; he graduated high school, drove a car and worked for Russell County Dispatch for a while.  David loved going to church at Jamestown Church of the Nazarene and talking on the phone.  He was a fan of UK Wildcats basketball and enjoyed calling bingo numbers at Fair Oaks Nursing Facility.  David loved working crossword puzzles, painting and coloring.

He is survived by his brother, Glen Wooldridge (Vicki), of Liberty Township, Ohio; his nephew, Luke Wooldridge, of Liberty Township, Ohio; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Along with his parents, David is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Rollin and Irene Shearer; and his paternal grandparents, Lilburn and Verna Wooldridge.

Funeral Services are 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Glen Wooldridge and Bro. Brian Fudge officiating.  Burial will follow in Jamestown City Cemetery.

Honorary and Active Pallbearers will be Todd Stearns, Barry Bolin, Kevin Shearer, Nick Shearer, Kennedy Coffey, Caleb Reader, Josh Carey, Luke Wooldridge, Jason Bolin, Jeff Wilson, Stephen Needels and Ryan Stephens.

Visitation will be held after 9:30 a.m., Saturday, at Bernard Funeral Home, until time for funeral services.
