Luttrell pitches shutout victory over Wayne County

The Russell County Lakers picked up their third victory in a row last night, as junior Cody Luttrell pitched a complete game shutout and struck out 11 batters en route to a 10-0 victory over Wayne County.

The Lakers opened the game up in the third inning, scoring seven runs in the third inning on their way to winning their 14th game out of their last 15.

Evan Hammond drove in three runs for the Lakers, Aiden Antle drove in two, and Nick Aaron, Bryce Cowell, Nathan Lawson, and CJ Vonfumetti drove in one run each. Issac Roy also added two hits for the Lakers.

The Lakers are now 17-4 on the season. The Lakers will be on the road tonight, taking on Somerset High School.
