The Russell County Lady Laker Softball team came away with a victory on the road at Marion County last night by a score of 6-2.
Natalie Hart picked up the win on the mound, giving up two runs on eight hits and striking out four batters in 6 2/3 innings of work.
Tarryn Reynolds picked up the save, getting the last out via a strikeout and giving up one hit.
Emma Popplewell finished with a team-high 3 RBI. Katie Owens hit a solo home run in the seventh inning, her eighth home run of the season.
Natalie Hart and Payton Kinnett also drove in one run each for the Lakers.
The Lady Lakers will be on the road Saturday as they travel to Southwestern.
