The Russell County Lakers Baseball Team opened its season on the road at Campbellsville yesterday with a 13-0 win in six innings.
Cody Luttrell was the winning pitcher for the Lakers.
Nathan Lawson and Gavin Gossage each hit homeruns for the Lakers.
Issac Roy, Gavin Gossage, Nick Aaron, CJ VonFumetti, and Maxon Gosser all recorded doubles.
Nathan Lawson came in to pitch the sixth inning to close the game for the Lakers.
The JV team also picked up a win over Campbellsville by a score of 8-1.
