The Lake Cumberland District Health Department announced that the slots for COVID-19 vaccine appointments in Russell County for an upcoming clinic were filled quickly Tuesday morning.
“In our first hour, we had over 51,000 attempted dial-ins to our 18 phone lines,” the health department said in a release.
Adair, Green, Taylor, and Wayne counties also quickly filled their allotments.
LCDHD received a one-time allotment of 700 vaccines for the 10-county district.
