Coming off back-to-back losses over the weekend, the Russell County Lakers played arguably their best offense of the season in the second half against the Danville Admirals, as the Lakers pulled away to defeat the Admirals 78-53.
The Lakers led 29-28 going into the halftime break, but scored 49 in the second half including 30 in the fourth quarter to pick up the victory.
The Lakers are now 6-9 on the season.
The Lakers were led by Devonte Grayson, who finished with 27 points and 15 rebounds, both game highs. Scott Hamm finished with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Jay Milburn scored 15 points while pulling down 7 rebounds and blocking 4 shots.
Owen Loy scored 9 points and dished out 4 assists. Clay Anderson finished with 3 points and 7 rebounds. Trace Stringer added 2 points.
The Lakers outrebounded the Admirals 44-20.
