Early voting could become law in Kentucky

A bill in the Kentucky Legislature would create three days of early voting, along with the creation of more voting centers and a signature cure process for absentee ballots as part of an election reform effort.

House Bill 574 passed through committee Thursday by a 13-0 vote and is expected to be passed into law.

While the bill will make some of the changes from the 2020 elections permanent, it does not include the option for any registered voter to request an absentee ballot.
