Sheriff’s office assists KSP with drug investigation in Fonthill community

Law enforcement arrested a Russell Springs man on drug trafficking charges following an investigation.

Russell County Sheriff Derek Polston told WJRS News the sheriff’s office assisted with an investigation led by Kentucky State Police into drug trafficking on C. Westin Road in the Fonthill community.

Law enforcement searched the residence and arrested 50-year-old Bobby Beard on charges of trafficking more than two grams of methamphetamine second or more offense.

Polston told WJRS News the sheriff’s office had executed search warrants at the same address and arrested Beard on similar charges in the past.

Trooper Billy Begley with Kentucky State Police is leading the investigation.

Polston said Russell Countians who suspect drug activity can contact the sheriff’s office anonymous tipline at 270-343-8116.
