Russell County Schools will return to virtual instruction today following Christmas Break.
Classes resume virtually today and as of now, the plan is for students to be able to return to the classroom on Jan. 19 under a hybrid model.
Russell County Schools Food Service Director Keith Emerson also announced plans for meal pick-up with the beginning of the new year.
Plan A: In-Person
Pick up only on Wednesday at any of the three elementary schools.
Students receive five breakfast meals, five lunch meals, and five dinner meals.
One hot lunch given on Wednesdays when picking up meals.
Plan B: All-Virtual
Pick up meals only on Thursday at any of the three elementary schools.
Students receive seven breakfast meals, seven lunch meals, and seven dinner meals.
One hot lunch given on Thursdays when picking up meals.
If the district remains on an all-virtual learning plan for an extended amount of time leading into Spring, daily hot meal pickups will resume once warmer temperatures return.
