Orvis Ray, better known as O. R. Wheat, age 86, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully at 9:45 a.m. on Monday, January 25th at his residence. .
Orvis was born in Jamestown, Ky on December 25, 1934, a son of the late Enola (Blakey) and Harold R. Wheat.
He served in the U.S. Marines as a Private in the Korean War and worked as a Pipe Line Installer
He was the husband of Betty (Sullivan) Wheat.
Orvis is survived by a daughter, Lana, wife of Jack Maupin, of Mt. Joliet, TN.
Survived by two Sister-in-laws: Joan Wheat and Geneva Collins; two aunts: Irene Blakey and Evelyn Phelps. He was preceded in death by his brother Harold R.

Religious Service at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 28th, with Bro. Stan Milby officiating. Visitation on Thursday from 12:00 till 2:00 p.m.. at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel.
Interment at Wheat Cemetery Jamestown, KY with full Military honors.
