The 2021 legislative session begins today as state lawmakers will converge on Frankfort to pass a one-year state budget and pass legislation for the commonwealth.
State Representative-Elect Josh Branscum will also be sworn in today after winning an election to the seat representing the 83rd House District last year.
The legislature is expected to gavel in at noon today.
Final adjournment is scheduled for March 30.
