Sandra Ella Russell, 59, of Norton, MA, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020. Sandra was born in Chicago, IL to the late Isaac Russell and Geraldine O’Reilly Russell.
She is survived by her husband, Peter Meissner, two step-children, Adam Perkins and Julia Perkins, and six brothers and sisters: Laurie (George) Kwok, Ross (Lisa) Russell, Diane (Elie) Russell, Gene (Sandy) Russell, Linda and Daron Russell. She is also survived by ten nieces and nephews.
Sandra began her career as a process engineer in the development of infant formula at Mead Johnson in Evansville, IN after receiving her degree in chemical engineering from the University of Kentucky in 1985. She worked in various roles for Bristol Myers Squibb and Mead Johnson Nutritionals for 27 years, most recently as an associate director of the Global Children’s Category. In 2012, she took a position as director of Global Research and Development at Ocean Spray in Middleborough, MA.
Sandra was known and loved for her kind, quiet, thoughtful, “I believe in you” supportive way and was recognized for her ability to mentor and develop teams and for her passion to help individuals reach their full potential. She was a positive influence in the lives of so many, helping them find a personal and professional path that brought them happiness.
Sandra loved hiking, running, traveling, and exploring the towns of New England.
Due to Covid-19 and Sandra’s wishes, no service will be held at this time.
