Rain/Snow Possible this Morning

Good Monday morning, everyone. We are starting out the day with much cooler temperatures and that trend continues today with highs only in the 40s.

We currently have rain falling the Lake Cumberland Area and at times it is making the switch over to snow. I don’t expect to much of an impact from this, and everything should move out by this afternoon. Here’s the latest hour-by-hour…

As you can see snow will try to mix in at times, but again there’s just not much there to really worry about. With that being said still be careful and allow yourself extra time if you are out and about this morning as there is still rain falling in the area. After this our attention will shift to late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning as we could see another chance of rain with snow mixed in. Here’s the high-resolution NAM model…

Models are not totally in agreement with one another, but as of right now I think we can expect to see some snow showers tomorrow night and into the early hours on Wednesday. As far as impacts are concerned I still want to see more data before making that call, so we will go over potential impacts on tomorrow’s weather blog. I hope each of you have a wonderful Monday.
