Laker Country 1049 WJRS, your official home for Russell County Laker sports, released its tentative broadcast schedule for the upcoming 2021 high school basketball schedule. Jeff Hoover will once again be the play by play host of Laker basketball games. Hoover said he was excited about the broadcast schedule on WJRS which features 13 girl-boy doubleheaders, and five additional Laker boys and five additional Lady Laker games. “With COVID and folks being urged to social distance, and with the attendance rules being put in place by the KHSAA, our broadcasts of Laker basketball on the radio is probably more important than ever. We hope to provide good play by play coverage and make our games entertaining for Laker basketball fans.” A tentative broadcast schedule is listed below:
