Georgetown man arrested following traffic stop

A Georgetown man was arrested by the Russell County Sheriff’s Office following a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon.

Jody Bandy, 45, of Georgetown, was arrested by Russell County Sheriff’s Deputy Corey Meyer and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, resisting arrest, terroristic threatening third degree, wanton endangerment first degree, failure to produce insurance card, and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.

Bandy was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
