Today is the first day back to school in-person for many Russell County students.
Middle and high school students with last names beginning A-L will return to in-person classes tomorrow as the district implements its new plan of bringing students back to the physical classroom in a limited capacity. Students with last names beginning in M-Z will attend Thursday and Friday.
All elementary students will be in school today, unless the parents/guardians of the student opted for the student to remain in the virtual learning program.
School officials are encouraging drivers to be cautious as school buses are back out this morning and drivers are encouraged to give themselves extra time on their morning commute to accommodate the change in traffic.
