Local authorities report the arrest of several persons on Thursday and early this morning.
According to reports, 43 year old Joshua Sparks was lodged in the Russell County Detention Center around 10:15 Thursday morning after being charged with possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Sparks was arrested Wednesday night in Russell Springs by officer Lucas Justice with the Russell Springs Police department but needed medical treatment and was lodged in jail upon release.
41 year old Carrie Johnson of Edmonton was arrested Thursday afternoon around one o’clock by Deputy Romines of the Russell County Sheriff’s office and charged with two counts of failure to appear.
39 year old Nathan Stargel of Russell Springs was arrested shortly after 11 o’clock Thursday evening by officer Chasity Shirley with the Russell Springs police department. Stargel was charged with possession of marijuana and public intoxication.
28 year old Lonnie McCoy of Nancy was arrested just after midnight Friday morning and charged with possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. McCoy was arrested by Deputy Golden with the Russell County Sheriff’s office.
All were lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.
