The Russell County Lady Lakers volleyball season came to an end Wednesday night as they lost to Greenwood High School from Bowling Green in three straight sets. Greenwood, the region’s top ranked team, will now advance to the region finals to be played on Thursday night at 6pm at Laker gym. Greenwood will play the winner of Logan County-Bowling Green.
Congratulations to Coach Faith Womack, Assistant Coach Macey Johnson and the Lady Laker team on a successful season. It was the final game for Laker seniors: Ashton Baird, Evan Hoover, Abby Loy, and Kylee Roy. Congratulations to Evan Hoover and Kylee Roy on being named to the 4th region All Tournament team.
