Early voting begins today

Russell County voters can begin casting their ballots in-person today by utilizing early voting as part of the election plan drawn up by Secretary of State Michael Adams and Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear.

Early in-person voting is taking place at the Russell County RECC Building off Highway 127 in the Middletown community, as well as the LEVEE Building behind the Russell County Courthouse. Signs are placed outside each location to let people know it is a designated voting location.

Voters can go to either location to cast their ballots, regardless of normal voting precinct and no appointment is required. Voters are also asked to take precautions to protect themselves from COVID-19.

Early voting will be available Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Nov. 2.

The Russell County Clerk’s Office will be open for early voting on Saturdays from 8 a.m. until noon.

Anyone with questions about voting is encouraged to contact the Russell County Clerk’s Office at 270-343-2125.
