Tax rates will remain the same for county taxpayers as far as school taxes are concerned. Meeting last night in special session, the Russell County School Board voted unanimously to leave the tax rates for 2020-2021 unchanged from last year.
In other action, the board approved a transportation waiver to allow parents and guardians to transport students to athletic events and/or extracurricular events and activities during the school year. The board also approved some change orders requested by Branscum Construction Company, the project manager for the Lake Cumberland Regional College and Workforce Center.
