The Russell County Middle School girls basketball team opened their season at home Monday night against Campbellsville. The 8th grade Lakers won, 40-19.  Giada Lindsey had 19 points and Addison Hart had 8 points.   In the 7th grade game, the Lakers won 54 to 20. Aniyah Coffey had 15 points, and Abby Helm and McKenna Ccamaque had 8 points each. Both teams will be back in action on Thursday at home against Clinton county, with the 7th grade game starting at 5 o’clock.
