The Russell County Laker golf team competed in the 4th Region Golf Championship on Monday at Bardstown Country Club. The Lakers finished 3rd out of the 15 teams in the region. Russell County shot a team total of 327, losing to Boyle County who shot a 326 and Taylor County who had a 320.
Two Lakers qualified for the State Championship next week in Bowling Green. Senior Clay Anderson shot a 77 and finished 3rd overall. Senior Nick Blakey shot a 79 and finished 6th overall. Bentley Perkerson shot an 82 and Senior Dru Stapp shot an 89. Junior Josh Glover shot a 103.
