School Board to Meet Thursday Morning to Discuss School Starting

Online Only or In Persons Classes Is The Issue

The Russell County School board will meet Thursday morning to consider the circumstances under which school will start on August 26th.

Russell County School Superintendent Michael Ford on Tuesday afternoon sent an email to all Russell County teachers, staff, and parents informing them he had decided that the start of school would be online only, with no in person classes. Ford said his decision was in response to the increasing number of new active cases of COVID-19. Ford will make that recommendation to the full board at their meeting Thursday morning at 10 o’clock at the Auditorium Natatorium Complex.
